At Northwestern University’s annual dance showcase a plethora of choreographers create pieces rooted in a theme. These pieces are lit by first, second, and third year MFA students. For Danceworks 2017: Current Rhythms artistic director, Joel Valentín-Martínez invited Ballet Hispánico’s Artistic Director, Eduardo Vilaro to choreograph a piece for the annual festival. The lighting, designed by Gosses showcased Vilaro’s choreography’s three movements exploring moments hidden and seen.
